DLP Manager / Lead -  Senior Advisor – Data loss prevention – Cybersecurity

Contract to Hire - Work remote, live anywhere BUT after 1 yr convert to FTE and move to either Indianapolis or Atlanta

Bottom Line / “In a nut shell"-

  • 2-4 people on the team and this role is the lead/mentor of that group
  • Leadership and tactical role with more of a focus on technology.
  • They support heavy operations.  
  • Must have a lot of ops experience
  • A lot of experience is on the desktop and dealing with user insider threat.  (Have a large desktop environment, 70K end points for data loss prevention.  Standing servers)
  • Has to be able to work with vendors as the organization considers vendors a partner/key stakeholder.  
  • Someone who can put process and procedure around technology and mentor other members.  
  • Doesn’t want to sell to much the people management, but there is that component.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the Data Loss Prevention and File Integrity infrastructure and application systems function efficiently and effectively within a complex environment.

The role is responsible for infrastructure oversight, top tier operational and application support, vendor management, contributing to program governance and technology strategy, and evaluating and implementing policies to monitor sensitive data movement across the enterprise.

Other skills:

  • Deployment, configuration, and administration of the security infrastructure and application
  • Evaluation of Data Loss Prevention use cases across Data-in-Motion, Data-in-Use, and Data-at-Rest
  • Provides first level engineering design functions and trouble resolution
  • Provides trouble resolution and serves as point of technical escalation on complex problems
  • Leads or plans implementations and integration across multiple security technologies
  • Develops testing plans to ensure quality of implementation
  • Leads the investigation and reporting of data security events and incidents
  • Provides system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies
  • Provides technical support to business and technology associates in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate information security procedures, standards and technologies
  • Represents major upgrades and business system replacements in change control; oversees mix of vendor services
  • Recommends changes and updates to strategy
  • May act a key contact for setting vendor strategy
  • Designs & engineers repetitive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards
  • Develops support procedures and performance metrics reports
  • Leads level 3 & 4 incident recoveries
  • May organize the efforts of other analysts as part of incident recovery
  • Leads root cause analysis efforts.
