**Must possess an ACTIVE Top Secret Security Clearance**
The On-site Systems Security Engineer ensures security controls are in place and operational, supports the execution of scans and security related tests and manages security logs. The Systems Security Engineer ensures that all required security patches applied and all application components are updated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Formulates and develops security related aspects of the systems or subsystems architecture and develops the security related documentation.
•Maintain system security configuration.
•Plan code scanning to identify vulnerabilities.
•Support achievement of ATT and ATO.
•Manage and review security logs and taking required actions.
•Support computer security design/architecture in a cloud environment
•Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
•Develop technical solution and recommend new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
•Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based finding, outcomes and proposition for further system security enhancement
•Support for engineering, implementing and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer system, networks and information in an on-premise and cloud environment
•Support the achievement of certification and accreditation (C&A) of the system and all future re-certification.
•Active Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility.
•Bachelor's Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience (Preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, information Sciences or related field or equivalent).
•Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
•Eight or more years of experience performing highly complex software engineering activities using “state of the art” software engineering concepts and software techniques.
•Experience in building and maintaining information security systems.
•Experience with network security and networking technology and system security and network monitoring tools.
•Five or more years of information assurance and cyber security engineering experience.
•Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, etc.
•Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer.
•Experience with NIST 800-53 compliance.
•Experience migrating system to cloud environment.
•Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.

•Understanding latest security principles, techniques and protocols.
•Technical knowledge of database and operating systems (security vulnerabilities).
