ECS is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to work in our Atlanta, GA office.  Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

Level I Cyber Analyst: Minimum 2 years’ experience.

  •  24x7 monitoring of intrusion detection systems.
  • Creation of detailed intrusion and event reports.
  • Assist in computer incident investigation, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
  • Analysis of network and system activity for anomalous or malicious actions.
  • Support of the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration of computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication
  • Ensure data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation;
  • Create the tools needed to prevent, detect, mitigate, and reconstitute information systems.
  • Basic vulnerability awareness and able to determine applicability to customer environments, using data to establish attack attempts and success/failure
  • Maintain current threat awareness

Level II Cyber Analyst: Minimum 6 years’ experience.  

  •  24x7 monitoring of intrusion detection systems. 
  • Creation of detailed intrusion and event reports. 
  • Assist in computer incident investigation, troubleshooting, and problem solving. 
  • Analysis of network and system activity for anomalous or malicious actions.
  • Operate in a command-line environment, to include chaining utilities, complex commands integration of tcpdump to analyze novel protocols, IP protocols, and protocols outside the scope of IDS operation or detection
  • Support of the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration of computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication to ensure data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation;
  • Design secure systems and write secure computer code to fill capabilities gaps
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation for retaining institutional knowledge
  • Ability to analyze new or novel system logs or network traffic and to make meaningful hypotheses about them, absent corresponding open source information available
  • Daily consumption of domestic and international news from multiple sites, awareness of the differing biases / slants in presentation of the sites, able to conduct additional research for historical context into particular international situations in order to drive analysis

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a Secret Clearance
  • 2 - 6 years of experience in the support of the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration or computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication to ensure data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation; support to include: design secure systems, write secure computer code, and create the tools needed to prevent, detect, mitigate, and reconstitute information systems.
  • Must have at least one active security certification that is compliant with 8570 Categories of CSSP Auditor, CSSP Analyst, CSSP Manager, CSSP Incident Responder, CSSP Infrastructure Support, IASAE I or IASAE II.  
  • List of eligible certs:
    • CASP+ CE, CCISO, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CEH, CFR, CHFI, CISA, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSMP, Cloud+, CND, CSSLP, CySA+ **, GCFA, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSNA, SCYBER, SSCP
