In this role you will serve as the nexus for design, implementation, operation, and maintenance for cybersecurity processes and services running within the organization. They are responsible for the cybersecurity requirements of infrastructure for server, voice and communications, network, database, storage and desktop systems and platforms. They are also responsible for cybersecurity incident response for cybersecurity incidents, escalating to higher levels of support when needed. Other responsibilities include vulnerability management program and secure configuration development in collaboration with infrastructure teams and job scheduling management.
The Cybersecurity Engineer is expected to perform complex tasks and manage medium and large projects with little direct supervision. They also provide new system specifications based on application needs and anticipated growth. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Engineer will research, recommend, specify, and implement security improvements to Panduit’s infrastructure systems and provide technical expertise and direction to other IT teams and departments.
You will bring to the table at least 5 years of experience in systems and network administration or engineering with a focus on growing information security in a large-scale environment. You will have strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment, SIEM, and intrusion detection methodologies in addition to incident response. You will have strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people. Ideally (but not required) you will have a CISSP, Security+, SANS certifications, CEH or related information security experience.
