The Lead Data Protection Specialist will be responsible to ensure the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of company' data assets, across numerous platforms. This role will be monitor and detect risks to the organization, identify sources and methods of attack, locate and preserve electronic information. The position will be responsible for creating and maintaining systems and processes that protect business and client information. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Align with and support the execution of the Information Security Program vision and strategy

  • Provide assistance in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the information security program into in-scope operational areas (gap analysis, risk assessment, third-party assessments, procedure/specification development, execution of recurring procedures, incident response)

  • Identify, analyze and communicate information security vulnerabilities

  • Support Law Department with e-Discovery requests

  • Regularly test the company' security system for any faults and provide a solution when needed.

  • Ensures that application security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IT standards and overall security.

  • Educate project teams and other system architects in the development of system designs and project plans 

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Business or Computer Science

  • 7+ years’ experience with information security, preferably in the financial services industry

  • CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CRISC certifications preferred 

  • Working knowledge of: WAN, Wireless, Firewall, VPN, Proxy and Intrusion Prevention

  • Experience with management frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST
