The GIS Cybercrime Protection Team is a forward looking unit focused on protecting our customers and clients from information security threats.

The Cyber Crime Brand Protection senior engineer is a function within Global Information Security and is responsible for supporting and driving execution of specific products in the Digital Brand Protection unit.  Digital Brand Protection's mission is to protect the firm’s digital reputation risk and protect the brand against seizure and nefarious digital activity.  

The successful candidate is a self-starter and requires minimal direction. Along with a strong work ethic, the candidate must have a proven history working with and influencing all levels of the organization, including cross-functional responsibilities as well as with third parties.  A working knowledge of international financial processes, such as payments or wires, or infrastructure, is strongly preferred.  The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and can speak to processes, tools and technologies that can best support and protect the Bank’s brand.  Possesses strong analytical skills to effectively distill complex problems into easy to understand and actionable information.  Must work well with others.  The candidate is required to be tech savvy.  Strong verbal and written communication skills required.  Successful candidate must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, evolving environment.  CISSP or CISM certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the strategy for Cyber Crime Brand Protection
  • Become a strategic partner with lines of businesses and front line units to reduce exposure to cybercrime through the bank's digital assets
  • Proven ability to independently build and execute various programs
  • Ensure thoroughness and accuracy when leading the team in accomplishing tasks
  • Coach and guide cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps, to identify solutions, and to facilitate implementation
  • Demonstrate effective Stakeholder management and communications
  • Build trusted relationships with key cross-functional business partners including multiple product teams, regional offices, and support functions
  • Understand relevant laws, rules and regulations
  • Working knowledge of current and emerging anti-cybercrime product offerings
  • Ability to research and identify vendors that are able to provide relevant social media intel
  • Partner with social media groups within the bank (be a part of work groups, forums, reporting communications, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to partner with external partners to understand trends within the ecosystems (e.g. TTPs) as it relates to bad actors using social media as a vehicle to conduct cyber crime
  • Work closely with GIS partners to identify opportunities/synergies for preventing the usage of social media to conduct cyber crime

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience
  • A broad knowledge of information security principles, financial crime, and cybercrime
  • Proactive and proven self-starter
  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to be comfortable delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to transform complex problems into easy to understand information
  • Strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management

Responsible for executing the Cyber Crime Protection strategy. Acts as an accountable owner of specific cyber crime response and investigation efforts and processes. Leads the continuous improvement of the Cyber Crime Protection program by defining enterprise requirements to reduce risk to clients. Leverages monitoring and detection products and knowledge of cyber crime issues, threats, and mitigation techniques to protect the enterprise. Partners with stakeholders across various functions to improve the firms cyber crime resilience and client experience. Direct interaction with customers and clients may be required.
