Responsibilities

ITCC II Cyber Security Engineering (CSE) team members are responsible for providing Cyber Security analysis and support to Service Operations and Service Design organizational functions to review cyber security artifacts.  CSE team members also review ITCC II technical solutions to aid in development of consistent mitigation strategies for all system vulnerabilities delivering cradle to grave security strategies. Develops, executes and evaluates information assurance processes relating to certification and accreditation; system security engineering; security architecture analysis; security requirements definition and allocation; security architecture development and security design; integration and evaluation; identification of potential security vulnerabilities; and security related documentation. 

Develops and maintains security programs and related plans. 

Formulates and implements a security operations concept. 

Evaluates security compliance in an integrated hardware/ software environment.  Provides security training. 

Ensures compliance with all DoD and Command Information Assurance (IA) security guidelines.  Oversees and assists with the production of loads to ensure compliance with CERTs and STIGs.  Obtains approval for processes to be used with Rapid User Catalog.

Candidate must be able to perform the following tasks:

Review requirements to identify potential security vulnerabilities during the design stage of technical solution development

Perform Cyber Security analysis, correlation, and prioritization of findings discovered in scans and vendor bulletins

Provide vulnerability tracking and status reporting on vendor provided or DoD mandated security patches 

Exercise knowledge of installation, maintenance, and upgrade techniques for Operating Systems and applications for server and client environments to identify security vulnerabilities

Assist in the development and implementation of all policies and procedures relating to Cyber and Network Security

Proactively monitor vendor and DoD Cyber Security notices and report results accordingly

Assist in development and assessment of targeted metrics to assess security postures

Understand, adhere to, and implement overall cyber security and configuration policies and procedures in alignment with industry standard security compliance framework

Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.

RMF, DIACAP, NIST Certification & Accreditation, Security experience in one or more of the following technologies:

UNIX Operating System

RHEL Operating System

Windows Operating Systems

SQL and Oracle Databases

CISCO IOS

Certifications Desired:

CASP

CISA

GCED

GCIH

CISM

GSLC
