Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join a Government Consulting company located in Washington, DC through 100% remote work. The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and building security tools, with a primary focus on Tier 3 troubleshooting and engineering for diverse product offerings. Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Engineer Include: * Maintaining and building security tools, with a primary focus on Tier 3 troubleshooting and engineering for a variety of products.
* Administer, troubleshoot, and build Linux servers, with a strong emphasis on CentOS/RHEL.
* Managing the daily operations and administration of servers and software within an enterprise setting, while adhering to change management guidance and policy.
* Demonstrating familiarity or experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure), along with a desired understanding of Splunk (SIEM) and Swimlane (SOAR).
* Taking ownership of project maintenance, including documentation, coordination, and effective handoff of project artifacts to key personnel, showcasing your strong background in IT and security engineering.
Qualifications for Cyber Security Engineer Include: * 3-5 years of work experience in Cybersecurity engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Engineering Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity
* Experience administering/ troubleshooting Linux servers - CentOS/RHEL preferred.
* At least one of the following certification's: CISSP, CCSP, CCNA, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GIAC, SSCP, Security+
* Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) preferred; Splunk (SIEM) & Swimlane (SOAR) desired
* Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) experience * Clearance requirement: Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Cyber Security Engineer includes: * Salary Range: $108,000 - $120,600/ year **depending on experience**
