Job Description

MindPoint Group is seeking an experienced FedRAMP Team Lead to lead up our growing FedRAMP team and support our various commercial clients. You will join an exciting, diverse company focused on IT Security and their employees. The day-to-day responsibilities will initially focus on getting new projects initiated and staffed. This requires coordination with the client-s senior management personnel and program managers, as necessary to successfully meet program objectives. You will be the liaison and direction of the business and technical staff. You will also be responsible for building out technical teams; using staff effectively; employing management and technical skills to achieve program results. The focus of this role is serving as the FedRAMP Team Lead, while additional duties will be assigned to other non-FedRAMP commercial engagements. You will lead up and support various Governance, Risk, and Compliance services in addition to FedRAMP projects.

What you get to do every day:

Serve as the FedRAMP Team Lead heading up both assessments and consulting engagements.

Lead Cloud Service Providers (CSP) through the FedRAMP ATO process

Manage client relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction

Ensure successful project execution by implementing sound project management principles. Identifying risks and issues impacting projects

Lead status reporting and meetings with the client

Participate in meetings and discussions and serve as the central point of contact for the client

Establish, document, and manage the scope, schedule, and resource allocation for projects and sustaining activities to ensure successful project execution. Support Third Party Supplier (TPS) Security Control Assessments for client-s supplier systems and environments

Perform supplier assessments via on-site or remote reviews for new and existing suppliers ensuring compliance with the client-s security requirements. Support other non-FedRAMP commercial Governance, Risk, and Compliance engagements

Identify growth opportunities in the commercial sector

Participate in business development activities and marketing initiatives

Conduct assessments to verify the efficacy of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards implemented to protect sensitive data and systems

Leading security assessments of application and software security, which may include: (i) reviewing architecture diagrams; (ii) interviewing personnel responsible for various parts of the software development process; (iii) interviewing personnel responsible for network and software security (iv) overseeing static and dynamic code analysis; (v) overseeing network penetration testing; and (vi) preparing high quality written reports for senior counsel, executives, and national security officials and regulators

Interpreting, assessing, and overseeing network and application penetration test reports

Provide cloud security guidance and best practices

Provide technical leadership from project kick-off to production for regulated SAS Cloud customers

Deliver excellent customer service using a customer-first and continuous improvement mindset

Provide technical leadership from FedRAMP Project kick-off to FedRAMP Exit Out briefs for FedRAMP Customers

Conduct vulnerability management (scanning, assessment, reporting, and mitigation verification), security reviews and tests of systems to verify security features and controls are functional and effective

Qualifications

Must be US Citizen

What skills do you need?

Bachelor-s Degree, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience (8 years of experience in the Functional Responsibility area may be substituted for a Bachelor-s degree). A Master-s Degree may be substituted for 4 years of general work experience.

Minimum of 4-7 years of general work experience and 2 year of FedRAMP experience

Minimum of 3 years of audit experience

CISSP is Required

In addition, one of the following certifications:

GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

CISSP-Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP)

CISSP-Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP)

Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)

A self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize responsibilities through the effective use of time management and organizational techniques

Must be flexible and be able to assess supplier environments simultaneously. Must be able to exercise influence through cross-departmental situations, track performance, communicate expectations, anticipate and recognize problems, and when appropriate, escalate appropriately

Ability to interact and communicate both written and verbally with people at all levels - Administrators to managers, technical and non-technical audiences. Strong written skills are required in the documentation of Gaps/Risks as they apply to the assessment

Experience in providing IS security guidance to business customers and peers

What is ideal?

Strong risk analysis and problem-solving skills. Strong technical background with experience with an understanding of the ISO, COBIT, and NIST security standards; Audit Concepts; Risk Methodologies; Access Controls; and Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Strong understanding of the NIST Risk Management Framework and FedRAMP requirements

Knowledge of the implementation and execution of cloud security controls in accordance with NIST SP800-53

Knowledge of managing cloud security threat and vulnerability assessment processes to monitor and remediate vulnerabilities

Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies

Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts, including experience with public cloud (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) and implementation experience

Experience in IT-Information Technology security, multi-platform, or related

Experience in Operational Technology security

Experience with conducting Vulnerability & Compliance scans using Tenable, Burp Suite Pro, HP Web Inspect
