We are looking for looking for a talented and highly motivated Risk Lead with a background in risk management or information security, or related disciplines, to support Core Finance Technology to reduce and remediate risk.

Our Risk Leads have the opportunity to grow and expand their careers by learning risk management, specifically: Application Management, Processes/Risks/Controls, Information Security, Business Continuity, Data and Records Management, and Change Management concepts and controls and being involved in risk and governance programs at various levels that serve to monitor and mitigate risk.

Role Overview

Enterprise Finance Technology’s COO team is looking for new talent to improve the execution of the internal control discipline and support operational excellence.   The role includes the following activities:

  • Partners with key Technology Managers to monitor and manage various risk programs across the firm and proactively manage risk metrics.

  • Work with technology management to focus on self-identification and documentation of risk, addressing root causes and remediation as required.

  • Support technology teams in supporting firm-wide risk programs, delivering, and validating requested artifacts. Oversee Risk & Control activities for technology teams within Enterprise Finance Technology, including risk and control assessment, risk indicators and metrics.

  • Support Technology Management in audit/exam activities. Act as a liaison for the department, maintaining effective and professional relationships with key business stakeholders, internal and external auditors, regulators, and others dealt with in a professional capacity., and policy related compliance activities.

  • Gather and organize data to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans.

  • Prepare documentation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management.

  • Act as an ambassador of the risk culture.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including Senior management or executive level presentation material development experience

  • Excellent inter-personal, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively by building consensus and influencing decision making to foster forward progress with projects and initiatives.

  • Persistency, poise and perseverance to get things accomplished under pressure and within the set timelines

  • Gravitas to be able to challenge and debate in senior forums on risks and issues. Sound business judgment and the ability to work successfully with all levels of management

  • Interest and track record of ensuring accuracy, clarity and quality of work with attention to detail.

  • Deputize for senior managers in various governance forums and committees in both technology and business at the Finance Technology level

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent MS-Office skills including PowerPoint (for presentations), Excel (for manipulating large amounts of data) and Word

  • Excellent organizational skills, coupled with ability to be versatile and flexible with the ability to shift quickly between topics, projects and programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

  • Experience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as robust micro services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Nice to Have: CISA, CRISC, CISM or CISSP

  • 5+ years Technology Audit or Technology Risk experience

  • Experience in the execution of Technology Risk Assessments, Audits and Exams

  • Solid understanding of a risk control framework (i.e., inherent risks, control procedures, residual risk, etc.)

  • Ability to identify relevant key risk indicators to measure risk exposures (metrics reporting)

  • Strong ability to analyze data to identify thematic issues / areas requiring improvement

  • Understanding of Global Records Management, Business Continuity and Recovery, Information Security, Application Management, and Change Management principles and programs and their implications to the technology and business teams.

  • Ability to convey complex ideas in both technical and business terms to varying levels of management.

  • Detailed knowledge of SDLC and application governance

  • Experience in the identification and validation of operational losses and the parties impacted and responsible a plus.

  • Understanding of the business controls and compliance functions and the partnership required to be effective.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
